‘Our Skin is Thicker Than Yours’ (chandeliers) (Shaun Doyle and Mally Mallinson) made from recycled furniture and rawhide dog chews references the baroque ossuary decorations of human bone at Kutna Hora, Czech Republic and the Capuchin Chapel in Rome. In their work, Doyle and Mallinson explore the processes of cultural transformation that take place after an object has served its initial purpose – in this case the human body itself. This re-cycling of forms is a means of distilling useful agents; elements approaching redundancy are stripped down, re-formed and re-packaged. The results challenge the cleaner, more commercial concerns of some other art forms and celebrate the possibilities of extreme behaviour and belief.

‘Untitled’ (wet toilet paper), (Sam Keogh) recalls the miscreant gesture of toilet paper held under a tap and flung on the ceilings and walls of a school bathroom. 

For Nag, Nag, Nag Frank Wasser has produced a series of counterpoints, ‘ELLIE: An excerpt of a screenplay (movie script and mixed media) and Promotional poster for ‘ELLIE: An excerpt of a screenplay’ (poster) that necessarily complicate and excavate his relationship with the material of his own childhood obsessions and politics, in particular film. Much of Wasser's work examines the structural properties of film and its problematic relationship to reality. His work frequently mixes fact with fiction. In this instance Wasser has produced a new screenplay based on a fictional event in the life of a fictional character from the 1993 film 'Jurassic Park'. The new screenplay takes place after the events of the film and positions itself into separate genres utilising meta plot mechanisms established and borrowed from the writing of Kurt Vonnegut, Flann O'Brien and Kathy Acker. Wasser uses a variety of forms, materials and mediums to position the work in the context of an exhibition.
